Originally conceived when Robert moved to Spain a few years back the album has been talked about in hushed tones and cloaked in Masonic like secrecy ever since..
" The title comes from a poem by Spanish poet laureate Federico Garcia Lorca about the death of a bullfighter..the whole album was inspired by my reaction to moving to a remote mountain village just south of Granada. Unfortunately other things took over..the album I did with PP Arnold and then getting The Blow Monkeys back together and doing two albums and lots of touring...Flutes just went on a backburner"
Additionally Robert is making available for the very first time the full "Acoustic Blow Monkeys" album!! Also released on April 23 and available for pre order here .
Finally Robert would like to thank all those who sent their best wishes to him during his recent brush with mortality..he sends his sincere thanks ..says he is very much on the mend...and cant wait to get out there gigging later in the year
